Comments Guidelines

I welcome your comments and will do my best to respond in a timely manner. Here are my Comments Guidelines for this blog.

Spammers Beware!
Because blogs attract a lot of spam, which in my view is a plague, I monitor comments. I am trying to allow comments after your first one is approved. If spammers take advantage of this, I will change this. As long as you don’t break any of the following rules, I will approve your comment. If you break any of these rules, I will not approve your comment or, if you’ve been approved and then you break them, any subsequent comments will be deleted. Spam will be tagged as spam and you may be filtered. Spam at your own risk.

Rules

  • No spamming
  • No product/service or other ads or promotions
  • No threats
  • No personal attacks
  • No sexually explicit content
  • No spurious links or links or attachments that spread viruses, malware, spyware, or other injurious effects
  • No copyright infringement – observe all fair use rules
  • No use of fake IDs (avatars) or e-mail addresses

I read comments and look for signs of spamming. A comment that doesn’t add value but simply attempts to stroke my vanity while posting a commercial website URL is spam. A comment with one strange spelling error is probably spam, especially if it’s associated with a commercial URL. This is a privately owned and operated blog and is provided for the information and use of my audience and clients, not for spammers. I will do my utmost to keep it clean and spam-free.

Bullies Beware!
In addition, I do not tolerate bullying or personal attacks. There are lots of other blogs where you can play that game, but not here.

Commenters Welcome
On the other hand, you’re welcome anytime to comment on my blog when you comment by my rules and guidelines. I don’t mind if you make a valid comment or observation that furthers the discussion I’ve started and include a URL that promotes your website or blog.
